Schneider Electric and Ford Motor Company have partnered in Europe to provide customers with a home/business electric vehicle charging solution. The partnership will provide battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) customers – including owners of the just-launched Focus Electric – with a fast, reliable, safe and convenient charging solution. A full charge of the Focus Electric battery will take three to four hours and will deliver a 162 km driving range with energy efficiency of 15,9 kWh/100 km according to recently confirmed figures from Ford.
Schneider Electric and Ford have worked together to ensure the stations are optimised for Ford’s electric vehicle products. The EVLINK electric vehicle charging station will bring a convenient solution to customers in all European markets where Ford BEVs and PHEVs are on sale. Focus Electric customers in regions with compatible electricity supplies will be able to charge their batteries fully in little more than three hours.
