Schneider Electric recently finalised a partnership agreement with local electrical engineering group Actom. This formalised and extended the existing co-operative arrangement which catered for the requirements of the local market for state-of-the-art automation, medium voltage distribution and protection equipment. “With the new partnership agreement in place, we are better positioned than ever to satisfy the requirements of these important markets in the future,” said Carl Kleynhans, country president, Schneider southern Africa.

Actom is the largest manufacturer, repairer and distributor of electro-mechanical equipment and provider of turnkey solutions in southern Africa, with an annual order intake in excess of R7,5 bn. The company holds numerous technology, distribution and value added reseller agreements with various partners, both locally and internationally.
