4th Quarter 2012Electrical switching & drive systems & components
Rose+Krieger has expanded its electric cylinder range. The LZ 80 PL/FL is now joined by the smaller LZ 70 PL/FL in the heavy duty cylinder family. The cylinders feature a duty cycle of 100% and excellent dynamics. This makes them equally suitable for simple adjustment tasks or high precision positioning.
The LZ 70 PL/FL comes with a choice of ball screw or Acme screw. The PowerLine version LZ 70 PL handles high compressive/tensile forces up to 5000 N with a top speed of 13 mm/s. The FastLine version LZ 70 FL moves lighter loads up to 1500 N with a current top speed of 500 mm/s.
Using a suitable adaptor, this interesting alternative to a pneumatic cylinder can be operated with either a 3-phase or servo motor and can be used with existing motors. The heavy duty cylinders can be supplied with IP65 protection rating, special stroke lengths, external magnetic switches or an angular 3-phase motor with fixing boss. A completely new option is the stop damper, which allows the linear cylinders to be operated like pneumatic cylinders. Rose+Krieger can also supply complete systems comprising linear cylinder, drive train and controller, with IP54 protection rating.
Coverable slots on both sides of the RK linear cylinders provide flexibility for the mounting of attachments. Fork joints are also available for covered securing of magnetic switches for precise position determination. The magnets are integrated into the cylinder as standard. The service life of these energy efficient, heavy duty cylinders is currently at least a million double strokes (500 mm stroke).
