Pneumax partners with SEW-Eurodrive

Pneumax South Africa, a division of Set Point Industrial Technology and market-leader in the provision of pneumatic solutions, will be partnering with SEW-Eurodrive in the PneuDrive Challenge from 2013. The aim of the PneuDrive Challenge is to give the best mechanical, electronic and mechatronic engineering students a chance to use their talent to bring together engineering theory and the latest technology in drive engineering and pneumatics as a business reality.
“This partnership is a unique opportunity for Pneumax to showcase its product solutions to students, giving them an edge and allowing them to experiment with products that they would not normally have access to. It also encourages debate and innovation, and in the process allows the teams to propose solutions to real-life challenges,” said Adrian Buddingh, MD of Pneumax South Africa. “Although the prize is a strong motivation, the debate amongst the teams also prepares the students for the challenges of teamwork in the labour market – so there are many benefits”.
