The September 23 issue of Fortune magazine featured its prestigious list of the 100 fastest growing companies in the world. Included among some very notable companies on this list was hydraulic valve manufacturer, Sun Hydraulics, coming in at number 45. As a result of this recognition, NASDAQ lit up the display on the NASDAQ tower in New York’s Times Square to acknowledge Sun’s achievement. Sun Hydraulics is represented locally by Axiom Hydraulics.
Companies meeting Fortune’s demanding criteria were ranked by revenue growth rate, EPS growth rate and three year annualised total return for the period ended June 28, 2013. The overall rank was based on the sum of the three ranks. Once the 100 companies were identified, they were reranked within the 100 using the three equally weighted variables. Fortune’s definition for fastest growing included all public companies worldwide. In other words, it didn’t only cover US companies and sales but rather the full set of attributes that global investors value.
