All in one pipeline protection

The Vent-O-Mat range of air release valves from valve manufacturer, Aveng Manufacturing DFC offers an efficient and cost effective method of protecting water and sewage pipelines against damage caused by surge, air build-up and vacuum. It was conceptualised in South Africa in the early 1980s to simplify pipeline protection, the goal being to design a single valve that would deliver three way protection. The company claims that it is without equal in terms of useful valve life and the prevention of costly pipeline damage.
Although the installation of a Vent-O-Mat air valve does not always eliminate the need for other surge control measures, which depend on the pipeline profile and the operating conditions, it does offer automatic protection during filling of a pipeline when most surge devices are not operational. A major advantage is that protection against destructive surge and water-hammer phenomena are independent of mechanical devices, ensuring reaction within milliseconds.
The Vent-O-Mat range was quickly recognised by South African engineers as being unique in its ability to deliver simultaneous three-way protection in the roles of air release, surge moderation and vacuum break. Today it is the market leader in many countries around the globe, and while other products on the market attempt to deliver similar results, Vent-O-Mat remains the only truly three in one valve for water and sewerage applications. It has been adapted to meet local specifications in target countries, and exports to 30 countries worldwide.
