The most recent exchange programme focused on upskilling employees on variable speed drive (VSD) technology. Product application engineers, Bonang Lephole and Renaldo Petersen were selected this year and successfully completed the eight month training programme, which took place in France and Austria. During the intensive training programme, led by Schneider Electric’s top product managers and engineers, Lephole and Peterson were taken through both the marketing and technology of VSDs, allowing them to become product manager or product application engineer. “Technically the training is awesome and the trainers are incredible as friends and teachers, both in France and Austria. This training has been fantastic preparation for my current position as a product application engineer, not only technically, but also in terms of establishing a worldwide support network,” says Petersen.
