Rubber lined butterfly valves

2nd Quarter 2016 Other technologies

Mitech Control Valves is a local manufacturer of a wide range of valves, actuators and related equipment and has introduced rubber lined butterfly valves to its product range. These are a natural extension to the Mitech suite of products following the designation of valves and actuators by the South African government. The valves are ideally suited to the water and wastewater industry, where many expansion and renewal projects are currently underway or planned. Rubber lined butterfly valves also have many applications in the mining, metals and minerals industries, where the advantages of locally manufactured products will be promoted in the writing of the new Mining Charter.

Mitech’s rubber lined butterfly valves are available in sizes from 80 to 1800 mm and pressure ratings from PN6 to PN40. A selection of body, trim and liner materials with cast iron bodies and discs is available, with EPDM liners being the standard offering. WCB and stainless steel body materials with coated or stainless steel discs and polyurethane liners are readily available. Mitech Control Valves is planning to extend its product range even further to meet industry’s requirements for locally manufactured valves and actuators.
