Festo’s DFPB quarter turn actuator is durable, easy to install and multifunctional, making it an excellent choice for the process industry. This sturdy, user-friendly rack and pinion drive has been specially designed for use in harsh environments. It has a long service life thanks to its corrosion protection and pressure-aided lip seal. It is easy to clean due to its non-slip aluminium housing and resistance to conventional cleaning agents. With a flexible choice of adaptors it is also very easy to mount.
The DFPB is both single-acting and double-acting. The active direction can be reversed simply by turning the actuator 180°. This allows the user to switch from spring-force closing to spring-force opening for single-acting actuators. Combined with the availability of a wide range of sizes, this makes the DFPB highly adaptable for a variety of process automation requirements.
The DFPB is just one of Festo’s range of components designed specifically for the process industry. It can be used in conjunction with other products in the range, such as the VZBA, which is a 2- and 3-way ball valve assembly. Coupled with Festo’s SRB and SRAP sensor modules, renowned CPX valve terminal and remote I/O, it is possible to build a complete solution, from the process valve, actuator, control and sensor, right up to the field level.
