Omron recently showcased its flagship Sysmac motion solutions, incorporating robotic and visual inspection control, at the KwaZulu-Natal Industrial Technology Exhibition (KITE). Country general manager, Victor Marques said that KITE has a good track record of attracting the relevant stakeholders in most of Omron’s target industries, creating an ideal opportunity for the company to highlight its presence and offerings to the region.
Omron products exhibited were Sysmac motion and PLC control, NX remote I/O, vision systems, safety products, servos and variable speed drives, HMIs and various general control components. The main targets at KITE 2017 were OEMs, food and beverage end-user customers, agroprocessing stakeholders and the automotive industry. “Essentially we focused on any customer looking for cost-effective and innovative automation and motion and control solutions that meet and even exceed their requirements,” Marques added. “This is specifically because Omron has strong experience and references in areas such as motion and drive control, PLC and HMI, automation networks, visual inspection control, and robotics.” Field sales engineers were on the stand to interact with customers personally, while application engineers were available to field high-end technical queries, and to share their wealth of product and application experience. “We offer a comprehensive range of products and solutions to meet our customers’ industrial automation needs, from the basic general electronic component level to very high end products,” he concluded.
