Magare Company, the newly appointed Sales Partner for Hytec Services Africa, has secured a HSA containerised hydraulic hose workshop to further extend its reach in the country, supplementing the Mwanza branch’s ability to provide hydraulic equipment and services to mines in the Lake Zone Region around Mwanza. Housed in a Hytec-branded 40 foot shipping container, the mobile workshop is always ready for mobilisation to provide comprehensive services on any mine site. It is fully equipped with crimping and cut-off machines and is stocked with hoses, fittings and adapters, as well as hose grinder and skiving equipment.
From l: Mabula Magangila, MD, Magare Company with Louis Potter, Africa development manager, Bosch Rexroth South Africa.
Delivery and setup were prompt, allowing Hytec Services Africa personnel sufficient time to carry out staff training, which included product identification codes and part numbering, fitting identification and hose-making. Louis Potter, Africa development manager for Hytec Services Africa, spent three weeks on site in Tanzania to oversee the Magare staff training and container setup.
“Despite the challenges of 2020, Magare has successfully entered the hydraulic market in Tanzania,” says Potter. “The company has a solid footprint on the mines in Tanzania and through the containerised workshop, is now empowered to offer hose-making services. We believe this added service offering will allow our Sales Partner to expand its footprint and to incorporate other hydraulic components into its offering in the future.”
