This quarter's issue will be a bonus for those who enjoyed the Australian 'Beyond 2000' shows that once graced our TV screens. Some of the folk at Festo are rather fortunate to get to experiment with some really cool technology. Have a look at 'Drives of the future - naturally' and see what Festo has been up to.
Moving along
A sudden move and surprise to many - this will be my last input as editor of Motion Control. It has been an enjoyable time, as I have a great fascination for mechanical devices (complete with the associated desire to remove the covers from any new gadget.) I shall be pursuing a career on the stock market - and be tinkering with some gadgets of my own.
Motion Control fills a vital role in its corner of industry and I am certain that the magazine will continue to grow both as a respected journal and in the mutually beneficial relationship that it has with the industry.
