Alfagomma South Africa is a subsidiary of Alfagomma Spa, one of the world's major industrial and hydraulic hose and fitting manufacturers.
The South African subsidiary was established in Meadowdale, Johannesburg, in 1998, to operate as the regional sales and distribution centre. In 2005 the local operation relocated to owned premises in Linbro Business Park, Sandton, where it has a 3000 m² warehouse which can be stacked to a height of 12 metres. From here product is supplied to clients in South Africa and various African states including Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

The Industrial division handles products such as industrial hose and fittings, composite hose and fittings as well as rubber sheeting and matting.
The Hydraulics division caters for users requiring hydraulic hose, PTFE hose, hydraulic fittings manufactured from a variety of materials, valves, couplings, gauges and other hydraulic components and accessories.
All products are sourced from Alfagomma manufacturing units in Italy, Malaysia, Slovakia or France. All of these manufacturing facilities are ISO quality certified. The parent company will soon open a new plant in China.
Alfagomma has a complete workshop equipped with state-of-the-art equipment which is used in the manufacture of factory-approved hose assemblies. Here, the company has the facilities to perform automatic internal and external skiving of hoses. It is one of the few companies in South Africa that has the facility to crimp industrial hoses with a diameter of up to 200 mm (8 inch) as well as up to six spiral hydraulic hoses with 75 mm (3 inch) diameter.
Until now the South African business has been focused on the development of MRO business but with its recently-obtained BEE rating as a level 3 contributor in the small business sector it is actively targeting OEM and mining sector clients. Internationally, Alfagomma is an established supplier to OEMs and mining.
Being a member of the Alfagomma Group ensures that the South African company has direct access to product information and technical assistance from all of the manufacturing units.
