1st Quarter 2010Electrical switching & drive systems & components
The South African Fluid Power Association (SAFPA) has announced that it will be unveiling the SAFPA Hose Assembly Certification and Accreditation Scheme in a public forum on 16 March, 2010 at Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre, Boksburg, Gauteng.
With valuable assistance from the British Fluid Power Association, formal guidelines appropriate to southern African operations have been drawn up to ensure that only fully certified and approved hose assembly products, assembled as specified by the original hose and coupling supplier, are sold to the customer. SAFPA will strictly monitor all hose assembly operations to ensure compliance with the guidelines.
The successful implementation of this initiative means that all customers serviced by accredited and certified SAFPA members will be assured of quality components and assemblies that meet the standards set by the SAFPA Hose Assembly Accreditation Scheme.
The preliminary programme for the launch includes a keynote address by Professor Roy Marcus, chairman of The Da Vinci Institute for Technology and also presentations by Ian Morris and Martin Kingsbury of the British Fluid Power Association.
