International Pump User Conference 2009

3rd Quarter 2009 News & events

Exhibition organiser, Specialised Exhibitions, has announced that the International Pump User Conference, IPUC 2009, will be co-located with Afriwater 2009 at the MTN Expo Centre, NASREC, together with the high profile WISA conference in early September.

IPUC 2009 is the leading pump conference in South Africa and is relevant to all industries where pumps are the vital heart of their operation including mining, petrochemical, industrial, bulk water and waste water industries.

The two-day conference and two additional workshops aim to bring delegates up-to-date with the latest developments in the pump industry worldwide, with leading experts, both local and international, sharing their wealth of knowledge and experience.

Highly respected international speakers will include Dr. Gunnar Hovstadius, PhD, focusing on pumping systems, energy related issues and Life Cycle Costing; Steve Schofield, technical director at the British Pump Manufacturers Association speaking about the European Commission programmes and energy related issues in Europe, USA and South Africa; and Ken Hall, president of Europump, who is at the forefront of the European pump sector’s policy on Eco-Design and the European pump industry’s energy and environmental programme.

Afriwater 2009, IPUC 2009 and the WISA Conference take place at the MTN Expo Centre, NASREC, from 8-10 September.

“Exhibitors have a unique opportunity to showcase their developments and services to a specifically targeted market, and we are anticipating high numbers of decision makers and senior management as visitors to the conference,” says Zia Tomes, Exhibition Manager.
