Hytec Rustenburg has established its first 24/7 satellite mine site at a prominent mine in the North West province. This enables Hytec SA to provide a tailored maintenance programme and stock a selection of critical hydraulic components, cylinders and consumables on site. The satellite branch supplies a broad range of Bosch Rexroth South Africa products for quick delivery to the mine. Hytec Rustenburg branch manager, Louise Kleingeld, says that the successful fulfilment of these contracts demonstrates the collaboration between all Bosch Rexroth Group companies. “The satellite branch’s location allows for the potential to expand our offering within the Marikana and Brits areas, where our Rustenburg branch already provides hydraulic and other services to numerous mines,” Kleingeld points out. “This service contract is a first of its kind in the region.”
The satellite branch was founded following a successful plant maintenance contract with the mine. “Given our close proximity to the site, it made logistical sense to establish a permanent presence there,” Kleingeld says. “It ensures smooth site operations, helps us to execute our responsibilities according to the contracts and means we are permanently available to offer technical specialist support. Our location, preparedness and logistical management enable us to attend to any site in the region within three hours under breakdown conditions.”
The success of this service contract and the support of specialists from the various Bosch Rexroth South Africa companies, positions Hytec Rustenburg as the partner of choice for hydraulic and filtration solutions in the region.
