Faster’s quick release couplings for tough hydraulics applications are based on continuous research, technological innovation and ongoing investment. The company’s high-performance flat-face FFH series of couplings has notably higher performance characteristics than its standard flat-face FFI couplings and exceeds the performance characteristics established by ISO 16028 regulations. Working pressure has been raised to 35 MPa and the flow rates have been much improved. FFH couplings have undergone intense internal validation tests such as the million cycle impulse test at 133% of working pressure and the burst test at 140 MPa. The coupling is available in 3, 10, 13 and 19 mm sizes. An added bonus is the zinc-nickel surface treatment, which provides excellent resistance to corrosion and high temperatures, as well as ductility.
The FHV series is a flat-face screw-on coupling to be used in heavy-duty applications. It can handle high working pressures and has exceptional flow capacity. The male coupler is assembled with a double patented valve and can be connected under residual pressure. Connection is easier due to an innovative ball bearing system, while it is supplied with a safety sleeve coated with zinc-nickel surface treatment. The 4BD4FH is a block coupler designed for hydraulic quick changes and is ideal for utility vehicles, skidsteer loaders and backhoe loaders. It has greater flow capability than standard flat-face couplers and leads to an overall reduced pressure drop. The new 4BD4FH series uses high-pressure flat-face FFH couplings, all conforming with the ISO 16028 standard. The user can choose between a cartridge of 13 or 19 mm.
The 3HF is a flat-face coupling designed for applications where it is necessary to connect under full working pressure without using tools. 3HF couplings are particularly suitable for high impulse pressures and high flow inversions. They can be widely used in excavator booms, demolition machines and all heavy duty applications in general.
WF couplings are Faster’s most important recent development for the industrial sector. The range guarantees direct and safe connections to internal port threads for industrial testing, which enables the correct and simple connection of tools and attachments to hydraulic machines with minimal fluid loss. The coupling’s innovative design makes maintenance, repair and replacement operations for complex industrial circuits quicker and more efficient. It is also very compact, ergonomic and easy to use. Disconnection is performed in two steps to prevent accidental disconnection, with automatic shut-off of the internal valve. The WF connection thread is automatically protected against potential damage when the coupling is disconnected. It is available in 10, 13 and 19 mm sizes. Its main applications are in hydraulic valves, manifolds, pumps and cylinders.

Those working with hydraulic or pneumatic systems know that keeping your machinery running at peak performance balances productivity and cost. As systems age, they often become less efficient, requiring more energy and more frequent repairs. The good news is that you don’t always need to invest in an entirely new machine to solve these problems.
