Hydraulics specialist, Lindos Hydraulics, has launched the new HT954 tractor in a partnership development project with Smats Projects. The design philosophy of this new purpose-built machine is to combine the latest technology with the customer’s safety, reliability and functional requirements. This variable hydrostatic Lindrive automotive system ensures that maximum torque from the 95 kW prime mover is transferred to the 4x4 drive for best possible traction during operation.
The HT954 is designed to handle the rough terrain and other daily challenges of the mining industry, both above and below ground. Because it is a purpose-designed vehicle, it offers major advantages over conventional equipment, as well as a massive reduction in cost of ownership. The machine has excellent visibility and is very safe and easy to operate as the hydrostatic drive and power steering offer smooth and safe driving, with full vehicle control under all load conditions.
“The development of the HT954 marks our first successful leap towards achieving safe, cost-effective, operational reliability through the application of the latest technology. The four-in-one braking system ensures maximum safety of operation and virtually eliminates the possibility of run-away,” says Sello Tsubele, managing director of Smats Projects.
Lindos Hydraulics specialises in design, project and automotive hydraulics for both industrial and mining environments and supplies a wide range of hydraulic and mechanical drive components countrywide.
