High performance PU-cover rubber hoses

3rd Quarter 2016 Hydraulic systems & components

Parker Hannifin has introduced a new high performance PU-cover rubber hose range for low and medium pressure applications, manufactured with a combination of synthetic rubber and polyurethane.

The outstanding technical characteristics of rubber, in combination with the premium quality polyurethane cover material, make the hoses suitable for applications where high flexibility, tight bend radii, abrasion, ozone, weathering and seawater resistance are the critical factors. The range also has excellent mechanical strength; high flexibility; extended oil compatibility; shock resistance to metal moving; extreme resistance to wear and tear; and extraordinary damping properties. The hoses are ideal for applications involving materials handling; tele-handling and fork lifts; cranes; energy chains; car production lines and robots; injection and blow moulding; machine tools, and construction equipment.

Due to the high performance of its PU cover in abrasion, ozone and cold resistance, the 462PU is the preferred solution for more demanding environmental conditions in construction equipment applications, where higher working pressures and higher abrasion resistance are the critical factors.

The 692PU is the recommended hose for all materials handling applications. In abrasion resistance field tests it has been shown to withstand more than 25 000 cycles up and down on the mast. The 462PU and 692PU hoses also meet the abrasion challenges of over-the-sheave applications of twin hose.

The 837PU-Plus, on the other hand, is a low pressure Push-Lok hose and the preferred applications include cooling circuits and compressed air in hose bundles; energy chains of robots; car production lines; machine tools; injection moulding and PET blow moulding machines.
