The Hydraulic Centre (THC) is turning 30 this year. Originally focusing on hydraulic hose, hose fittings and hydraulic adaptors, the company now delivers world-class hydraulic products and services to over 1000 organisations across Africa.
With the introduction of the third tier Dynamische range of hydraulic products, THC can also offer reasonably priced products with exceptional quality and performance – the best value in the industry. The Hydraulic Centre has ISO 9001:2015 as well as BS OHSAS 18001:2007 accreditation and the company is also certified with DEKRA.
The machining division manufactures quality special fittings with excellent response times. A steel tube bending facility has also been incorporated into this division and is achieving good growth. This is mainly due to the acquisition of a semi-automated German bending machine, which has an interface system capable of storing 30 bending sequences per tube length. This allows a narrow bending radius and reduces bending time, thus increasing production throughput. User-related error has also been minimised through interface bending.
The latest innovation is THC’s 3D worktable station. This comprises a series of clamping systems, angle related tooling and accessories that prevent expensive downtime. It is well suited to all horizontal and vertical applications and specified angles and sizes of tubing can be quickly and precisely set and fixed.
The required welding components are clamped at the respective points during the tacking and welding process, offering optimum positioning. This leads to excellent accuracy of the specific angles and bends in steel tube and metallic hose assemblies.
