Taking cylinder kit quality to new levels

4th Quarter 2017 Hydraulic systems & components

Hydraulics specialist, Hydromobile has recently launched a complete new range of hydraulic cylinder kits and related accessories to complement its existing chrome stock and honed tubing range.

Hydromobile is a major importer and exporter of high-quality hydraulic components, which include pumps, valves and power packs among others, with distributors throughout southern Africa. The company also offers design, manufacturing and turnkey hydraulic solutions for a variety of applications and has an established footprint in the mining, transport, agriculture, industrial and railway industries.

Hydromobile director Gert Oosthuizen, says, “The cylinder kits are a logical fit to our existing range of hydraulic products. We are confident that the quality of this new range will be a cut above other competitive products, and along with attractive pricing will provide maximum market penetration and customer acceptance. In addition to supplying the components, we are also able to offer design and drawing assistance to customers with our in-house expertise and our technical and drawing staff.”

He adds that in terms of product range, Hydromobile initially offered kits and accessories for 25 up to 210 bore cylinders, where the bulk of the market demand is. Hydromobile has also increased its anticipated volumes and stockholding to ensure that existing demand is met and to ensure a successful start to the 2018 year.

These components, manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 and European standards in Italy by Naldoni E Biondi, have a well-established brand and global footprint and are renowned for their product quality across the entire range. As an added quality feature, the cylinder kits also feature an additional seal on the cylinder gland to prevent cylinder leakage and a self-locking nut fitted on the chrome rod end.

With decades of hydraulics experience, Hydromobile believes that it has a unique understanding of the requirements around its products from an end-user point of view, and that the company’s services and stockholding are well aligned with customer requirements. Even though industrial and other sectors have not seen significant growth in recent years, Hydromobile is of the view that repairs and aftermarket support are now even more critical. Cylinder-related work will therefore remain under the microscope from both a cost and a repairs and maintenance perspective.

“We will continue to offer the highest quality products backed up by Hydromobile’s renowned customer service, full warranties, fast delivery and a full range of spares. Where in the past we mainly serviced component and power-pack customers, we are now able to also be the supplier of choice for hydraulic cylinder manufacturers, which again brings us one important step closer to being a one-stop shop in the hydraulics industry for all types of customers, no matter which industry or application. Going forward, we will always look to build on past success, to keep challenging our competitors in the way we conduct our business, to build relationships with customers and to keep ourselves established as a market leader on all hydraulics fronts,” he concludes.
