Covering a flow range of 2 to 600 l/min and with a maximum operating pressure of 4 MPa, the meter offers great flexibility, being able to operate over a large turndown ratio. Intelligent design has made it possible to upscale the VC12 to develop even larger sizes, with a VC16 model to be launched soon.
The Kracht VC12 is aimed mainly at hydraulic test bench applications, with the need to measure flow at ever-increasing fluid temperatures leading to improvements in the high temperature version of the meter. This can now handle temperatures of over 200°C.
Electronic readouts can be adapted to application requirements and, with the ASR 20 FM 16, up to four gear-type flowmeters can be evaluated for plotting servo valve curves. Exact curve results are guaranteed by resolution enlargement, a special calculation of the valve zero point and a very fast analog output. Kracht is represented in South Africa by sole local agent Ernest Lowe.
