Low-cost conveyor for materials up to 482°C

First Quarter 2006 Pneumatic systems & components

EXAIR's High Temperature Line Vac Conveyors convert hose or tube into a powerful in-line conveying system for high temperature materials up to 482°C. These air operated conveyors feature large throat diameters for maximum throughput capability.

The devices eject a small amount of compressed air to produce a vacuum that results in high output flows. The response is instantaneous. Regulating the compressed air pressure provides infinite control of the conveying rate. The high temperature line vac is available in five sizes from 19 mm to 50 mm. Construction is durable type 303 stainless steel to resist high temperature, corrosion and contamination. Optional type 316 stainless steel is also available. Applications include hot flue gases, exhausting fumes, conveying soot, ashes and hot debris. Other models for hopper loading, scrap trim removal, tablet transfer and packaging are also available.

The EXAIR range of line vacs are an inexpensive way to convey bulk materials, scrap, trim, pills and granules. They replace those bulky blower systems for a fraction of the price, saving space and can be installed in about 15 minutes.

The line vacs are available in aluminium and stainless steel and fit ordinary hose or tube. The threaded line vacs attach easily to plumbing pipe, making it easy to build a complete conveying system using ordinary PVC pipe and fittings. The line vacs have no moving parts therefore there is no maintenance.
