The Rexroth Air Service (AS) system fulfils the high requirements for compressed air preparation. Along with the standard functions of filtering, regulating and lubricating, this modularly constructed maintenance unit also enables integration of specific functions such as shut-off valves, 3/2-way valves and filling valves ('soft start'), all in compact dimensions.
With the AS3 and AS5 series, Rexroth has expanded the AS family in the high flow range. The AS5 maintenance unit offers a flow of up to 7500 l/min, the AS3 up to 4500 l/min and the AS2 up to 2600 l/min.
The compact AS series of maintenance units feature modular construction
The family is generally characterised by easy maintenance. Large maintenance windows enable clear viewing of the filter condensate levels and lubricator fill levels. The containers can be easily released and refastened, thanks to a bayonet catch and lock. The patented oil filling system permits semi-automatic filling of the lubricators while still in use. The lubricators are also available with a fill level indicator for remote diagnosis. Additionally, with the ST6 sensor from Rexroth users can accurately measure the fill level.
The AS family is suitable for use in all industries. During engineering, special attention was paid to meeting industry specific requirements such as locking capability: an automotive industry requirement. As an ATEX-approved unit, the AS is also suitable for use in explosive areas up to zones 1 (gases) and 21 (dust).
The Rexroth Air Service system's modern industrial design, having already received the if-Product design award 2006 for the AS2, has now also been nominated for the German Design Award 2007.
How to clean compressed air effectively
