At the Hanover Fair 2007 Rexroth presented a new generation of rodless cylinders which incorporate an oval piston and the company's Easy-2-Combine mechanical connection system.
The new RTC (rodless thrust cylinder) series cylinders from Rexroth are ideal for powerful applications in tight installation conditions and make a persuasive case with their high load capacity and space-saving design. The cylinders in this series are available in four versions to meet the different application criteria such as high precision, compact dimensions, high performance, or cost-effectiveness:
Basic Version RTC-BV for universal use.
Compact Guide RTC-CG for high precision and compact dimensions.
E-line Guide RTC-EG cost-effective guided version of the new rodless cylinders.
Heavy Duty RTC-HD for handling heavy loads.
The Rexroth RTC series of rodless cylinders are available in four versions
The RTC series is available in diameters of 16-80 mm and with a maximum stroke length of 9900 mm depending on version and size, and is available with ISO-G or NPT ports.
The cylinders are equipped with an oval-shaped piston instead of a round piston. This provides them with an excellent load capacity and high moment capacity. In this series the slide and piston are constructed as a single unit - allowing the slide to move maximum loads even on smaller cylinders and thus demonstrate its force.
The guided cylinders come with an Easy-2-Combine interface. This standardised mechanical interface is based on uniform mounting dimensions, thread and centring sleeve sizes. It allows direct mounting of components using accessories such as connection plates, bolts and groove nuts, as well as simple mechanical interlocking and force-fit assembly. Via this standardised interface, the RTC can easily be combined with additional components from Rexroth, which are also equipped with the same interface, to form multi-axis systems. This saves users both time and money.
