The TestMate Contamination Monitor (TCM) from Schroeder Industries is the newest generation of particle monitor for continuous online measurement of solid contamination levels in hydraulic fluid.

The unit utilises an optical sensor and measures particles in four size ranges: >4, >6, >14 and >21 microns. Measurement results can be output as a contamination code according to ISO 4406: 1999 or SAE AS 4059 (D).

The TCM is designed for connection to hydraulic and lubrication lines with pressures up to 300 bar and viscosities up to 1000 cSt. The unit requires that a small flow of oil is diverted for measurement purposes. To achieve this fluid delivery and return lines must be installed onto the system to be monitored in order for the particle monitor to receive the required oil flow.

The monitor provides the user with a small, tough and versatile stationary sensor. It provides instantaneous readings and incorporates continuous self-diagnostic routines with error indication via a status LED. The attractive cost-to-performance ratio makes it especially suitable for OEM applications. Online, realtime condition monitoring helps users to employ predictive maintenance strategies.

A variety of accessories is available for the TCM. These include a flow conditioning manifold, connection cable and hoses, communication kit and software package.
