Innovation is the inspiration of Hydromobile SA which has established a reputation for quality hydraulic components in the market place. The company’s electro-hydraulic actuator is an example of its originality.
Hydromobile electro-hydraulic actuator assembly
The actuator can be designed for normal ‘open’ or ‘closed’ operations, position operations and PLC control. The actuators feature:
* Cast iron or aluminium frame electric motors that are spark and flameproof and provide up to IP65 protection.
* Pressure capabilities from 5 to 300 Bar.
* Flow capabilities from 1,6 to 30 litres per minute.
* The availability of double or single acting operations.
* Hand pump or accumulator emergency closing options.
Stringent sealing designs to suit mining and industrial applications.
* Strokes, bore diameters and rod diameters to suit customer specifications.
* The cylinder rods are a hard chromed EN8 material while the robust cylinder glands are manufactured from cast iron to ensure the durability of the product. The cylinder barrel is a cold drawn, seamless, honed tube.
* Various voltages are available for the control circuit, namely 12 V d.c., 24 V d.c., 110 V d.c., 110 V a.c. and 220 V a.c. The electro hydraulic actuator includes a cooling tube, facilitating increased operation times. It is also subjected to a 100% pressure test and quality control inspection prior to being released.
As one of the largest power pack suppliers in South Africa, Hydromobile is a high volume supplier of reliable, quality products, including:
* Hystar solenoid valves.
* Dinoil hand control valves.
* Filpro Italy filters and accessories.
* Hydr-App mini AC and DC power packs.
The company has been the innovator of 12 and 24 Volt mini power packs since its inception in 1991, and has gained vast experience in applications across a number of industries, including the vehicle, mining, construction, agricultural and earthmoving markets. Hydromobile takes on the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of complete systems as turnkey projects for various mining consultants.
Sister company Hydrocylinder imports ready machined components such as glands, pistons, end caps, ports, Nylock nuts and seal kits from Italy. High quality rods and barrels are also brought in, as well as a variety of clevises, trunnions and flange mounts. Cylinders are manufactured from components ex-stock; ready to be assembled to allow for efficient delivery.
Hydromobile offers a three-day training course as a value-add for customers to provide a better understanding of products available in the industry and their operating methods. The next course will be from 17 to 19 September 2008. The cost is R2300 per person.

Those working with hydraulic or pneumatic systems know that keeping your machinery running at peak performance balances productivity and cost. As systems age, they often become less efficient, requiring more energy and more frequent repairs. The good news is that you don’t always need to invest in an entirely new machine to solve these problems.
