170 bar tie-rod cylinder

Hydraulic systems & components
Hydrocylinder’s new production line is now up and running, producing the manufacturer’s standard range of HARVESTA, aka 1CC, cylinders. This means that this range of cylinders can now be produced and stocked as off-the-shelf items whilst still being able to offer a quick turn-around time for the company’s industrial, custom made, range of cylinders.
The HARVESTA welded construction tie-rod cylinder is manufactured by Hydrocylinder
The HARVESTA is a welded construction cylinder which can be fitted in place of many well known tie-rod cylinders. The basic dimensions and mounting are identical to equivalent OEM units, but the difference lies in the components and construction.
The chromed rod is manufactured from CK45 material and tubular sections are of ST52.3 fine tolerance tubing. The screw-in glands are manufactured from Meehanite, a high grade of cast iron, and the pistons from mild steel. The cylinders are supplied with plated steel pins, washers and R-clips.
The seal kit comprises a 5-piece stretch-on DAS system, polyurethane gland seal and wiper. Hydrocylinder claims that these, combined with the welded end cap, produce a superior sealing arrangement that has less or no chance of leaking. To assure this, all cylinders are pressure tested on completion.
A 170 bar allowable working pressure is achieved through careful selection of materials and workmanship.

Those working with hydraulic or pneumatic systems know that keeping your machinery running at peak performance balances productivity and cost. As systems age, they often become less efficient, requiring more energy and more frequent repairs. The good news is that you don’t always need to invest in an entirely new machine to solve these problems.
