For critical applications where knowing the status of the poppet’s position can offer an added level of safety, Sun Hydraulics has introduced optional closed position monitoring for model LOHC (380 lpm) and LOGC (190 lpm) poppet style cartridge valves.
These unbalanced poppet, pilot-to-close, cartridge valves are 350 bar two-way switching elements that are spring biased closed. Sun’s new Z control option incorporates an inductive position switch to provide confirmation that the poppet is either seated or in the transition stage.
The position switch features:
* PNP- solid state switch with normally open and normally closed outputs.
* IP65 rated, 4 pin, M12 connector.
* CE approval.
* Factory set for closed position indication.
* 20–30 V d.c. operating voltages.
A protective cover kit is available from Sun to enclose the cartridge extension and the electronic position switch.
