Genflex now offers a three inch, six spiral hydraulic hose. This is suitable for
high-pressure applications in the mining, gas, petrochemical and oil industries, as well as in very large earth moving machinery and high volume hydraulic systems.
Hydraulic hose from Genflex
This hose is believed to be the first of its type to be used in the local market. It has a working pressure of 350 bar and a burst pressure of 1400 bar.
The machinery that manufactured this hose had to be reconstructed to allow the mandrill and inner liners to pass through the machine before construction of the spirals.
The largest size hose used today is two inch and Genflex believes that this is not adequate for the volumes and pressures required by some applications.
Sales director Alan Cosgrove said, “Due to the nature of the application of this three inch hose, pressure testing is mandatory before it is supplied to the customer. I stress this point as we have customers who require the product to be compliant. We are proud to say we can meet this requirement easily. I will state categorically that Genflex cuts no corners and no leeway is permitted in the testing process.”
