Quick connecting nylon tube fittings

Hydraulic systems & components
Genflex Hydraulics has introduced a range of quick connecting nylon tube fittings for use on pneumatic systems.
This new generation of fittings has made the use of brass obsolete in many applications. In the past, brass fittings were used in industries such as bottling, canning and chemicals but they have become expensive.
The nylon fitting has a mechanism which allows hose to be cut to length and then simply pushed into the opening. To remove the hose a small portion in the mechanism is pulled back. No nuts, bolts or screwdrivers are needed.
The fitting is cheaper than brass and cuts assembly time by 95%. It is re-usable and is made from a tough nylon material which is about a third of the weight of a brass fitting. Sizes range from 4 to 12 mm. Another feature is that all sizes have a built in mounting to allow the fitting to be bolted or secured. This was never introduced on the brass fittings.
The temperature range is 6 to 60°C and the maximum working pressure is 15 bar. All screwed threads have a PTFE seal already applied. This avoids the need for the white thread tape that is otherwise sometimes used on connections to valves and cylinders.

Those working with hydraulic or pneumatic systems know that keeping your machinery running at peak performance balances productivity and cost. As systems age, they often become less efficient, requiring more energy and more frequent repairs. The good news is that you don’t always need to invest in an entirely new machine to solve these problems.
