BMG’s power transmission division has launched a new fourth generation BS/DIN RS roller chain – the Tsubaki GT4 Winner series – that boasts new manufacturing and material developments. ”The precision and strength of the components of this series far exceeds other chains on the market,” says Scott Larson, general manager for BMG’s chain division. Four key features of this range are lube grooves, a seamless bush which is perfectly cylindrical, a centre sink rivet and a patented ring coined connecting link.
Tsubaki lube groove seamless bushes are precision components and are perfectly cylindrical. The lube grooves hold oil at the point of contact, where the chain needs it most, providing an internal reservoir for the lubricant. The result is a chain that lasts longer, with lower maintenance costs. The chain has a special surface finishing that improves surface contact between the pin and bush, which means enhanced lubricant retention.
The design of the rivet heads enables easy dis-assembly. If the chain is overloaded, markings on the rivet head clearly identify pin rotation. The ring coined connecting link allows the chain to be specified up to its full kW rating.
Tsubaki’s ring coined technology has overcome the problem of typical standard slip-fit connecting links which are usually much weaker than other links.
The chain is available from BMG in sizes 06B to 48B as standard, with larger sizes on request. Single, double and triple strands are offered.
