Hydraulic hoses for dredging

Interlok Hydraulic Hose and Fittings (Port Elizabeth) recently supplied a 5 cm (2 in) six spiral hose, complete with fittings, for a dredging application in the Coega harbour. This 12 m hose assembly works at 425 bar. A certificate was required confirming a test pressure of 850 bar for five minutes.
The hose was ordered, manufactured, tested and delivered within three working days. Interlok believes that this hose assembly is the largest ever supplied in the Port Elizabeth area. The company has purchased equipment to manufacture stainless steel, flexible, metallic hose assemblies and can now manufacture sizes from 6 to 300 mm.
Interlok is active in the greater Port Elizabeth area and installs hoses, pipes and fittings for the many hydraulic applications associated with the automotive, fishing, marine and construction industries. It was purchased by Genflex in 2005, and has constantly increased in size, profit and turnover.
