Hydraulic hoses for mining
2nd Quarter 2011

Genflex Hydraulics has received its first order for a number of 6,4 cm (2,5 in) six spiral hydraulic hoses with extremely high pressure fittings for applications in the mining industry. Genflex can supply almost any high pressure hose and fitting for mining, drilling or oil platform applications.
Bruce Garner, managing director of Genflex Hydraulics, said, “We cannot always supply and assemble hydraulic hoses off the shelf as investigative work has to be done to make sure the customer receives exactly what has been requested. The hydraulic fittings that are attached to our imported hose have been manufactured locally to very high standards, as laid down by our principal suppliers in China.”
Genflex is dedicated to passing on the benefits of competitive pricing to its customer base. The company’s hose assembly business has increased to the point where an employee is dedicated to testing hose assemblies on a full time basis. Occasional faults are therefore detected at the factory. The company does not test every hose assembly, but batch testing is an ongoing exercise.
According to Genflex, core customers agree that the service and products offered are more than satisfactory. They continue to support Genflex and recommend the company to other customers who subsequently become regular customers.
“The Genflex range of hydraulic hose and assemblies meets the stringent requirements of our customers. Genflex is a service-based operation which understands that without customers there is no business. The customer comes first,” concluded Garner.
