Hydraulic & Automation Warehouse (HAW) now has Fire Sleeve hose protection available on the local market. It conforms to aviation grade 1072 and features a braided structure instead of a knitted structure. Fire Sleeve gives continuous thermal protection to hoses, cables and electrical wiring up to 260°C, and short-term protection up to 1200°C.
It is extremely flexible and conformable and is highly resistant to hydraulic fluids, fuels and lubricating oils. It is capable of shedding molten metal splash and may also be used for insulating hot oil, steam and other hot pipe surfaces, thereby reducing energy losses and at the same time offering burn protection to personnel.
Fire Sleeve is suited to a variety of industrial applications and can accommodate the bundling of cables, hoses and electrical wiring, providing excellent thermal protection and abrasion resistance. HAW carries large stocks of Fire Sleeve in all sizes and it is available from any HAW or Hytec branch.
