Nut splitter for corroded nuts

Hydraulic systems & components
Power Team South Africa has introduced the ENS hydraulic nut splitter series for removing corroded and seized nuts. It is developed and marketed by the company’s US parent company, SPX Bolting Systems. Expanding on its existing range and pioneering product development, the new 15- and 25-ton series, is available in 10 models and is suitable for use on nuts from 30 to 130 mm across flats (A/F). This out-engineers its predecessor the HNS nut splitter, which can only be used up to 57 mm A/F.
The ENS hydraulic nut splitter has a triple edge replaceable cutting blade and a blade positioning scale to eliminate bolt damage. The cutting depth is adjusted by rotating the cylinder, and the bolt cutter has been designed to fit BS1560/ANSI B16.5 flanges. Operating off a standard 69 MPa pump unit, it is versatile, reliable and trouble-free. It is also available in special subsea versions.
All models feature a rugged one-piece cutting frame coupled to a heavy-duty hydraulic cylinder. The compact size allows it to be used in confined areas where it will deliver enough force to split the toughest fused or rusted-on grade 2H nuts.
It is simple to split the nut on one side, spin the nut splitter half a turn, and make the second cut on the opposite side. The nut then separates into halves for easy removal. Power Team products are used throughout the world for applications in industry, construction, rigging, quarrying, marine, maintenance and repair. All products are backed by the Powerthon lifetime warranty.
