Cylinder with potentiometric transducer integration

2nd Quarter 2015 Hydraulic systems & components

Camozzi’s new 6PF Series cylinders with potentiometric transducer integration and low friction cylinder movement have the transducer integration feature built into the rod of the cylinder. This makes it possible to control the position of the rod constantly along its entire stroke. There is also 40% less friction, making it a very smooth operation and reducing the stick-slip effect in high precision applications. With a minimum operating pressure of 0,1 bar, the sturdy design and high performance make these cylinders suitable for tensioning, positioning, filling, cutting and measuring systems. The cylinder is still fully functional with conventional proximity switches and not solely reliable on the transducer, as the piston still retains its magnetic ring. The 6PF series has a steel scraper ring to keep foreign deposits off the rod, prolonging rod and cylinder sealing lifespan. It is available in either single acting or double acting, with rolled stainless steel rods and various sealing configurations. The range is manufactured to a VDMA 24562 and DIN/ISO 6431 standard and assembly accessories are also available.

Camozzi has also developed the F Series valve island, which has small dimensions, reduced weight and a high flow rate. This is suitable for a wide range of applications and sectors. With correct coupling between tubing length and its diameter, a translation speed of 500 mm/sec with cylinders of 40 mm diameter can be reached. The small dimensions allow positioning in reduced spaces. Accommodating up to 24 valves in a single bank, Camozzi’s F Series has provided an innovative, cost-effective and efficient solution.
