I would like to wish all our readers a happy 2026, and may this year prove to be prosperous for you and your family.
When entering a new year, there is always catching up to do on where we left off from last year. The council met in February 2026 to carry on with the implementation of various new tasks.
The first is the continuation of the SAFPA pressure vessel guide where final engagements with the SABS representatives are in place to put together a draught copy for review by the subcommittee. Once approved, the document will be circulated to members for their consideration.
We are preparing support for training providers to adapt their courses for CPD points. The council will trial this with two training providers, and then share costs and procedures with members.
Dates for the various upcoming sports events and technical meetings will be confirmed at the next council sitting and will be advertised.
