As usual, time just keeps flying by, and its been a busy time at SAFPA in the last couple of months. It is always important to re-evaluate the benefit that an association like SAFPA brings to its members. Therefore, we literally stopped the bus and revisited our value proposition to our members at the last council meeting.
Among other issues, we discussed training, and participation in the writing of industry standards, for example SANS 347 and the Pressure Equipment Regulations (PER). Working committees will be set up, and we agreed to reach out to external partners to enable us to drive these agendas to completion.
SAFPA will be exhibiting at the upcoming Electra Mining Africa Show from 2 to 6 September 2024. It will be hosted at Nasrec Expo Centre, so please pay us a visit.
Except for the above, it has been business as usual at SAFPA. We are excited about the upcoming Golf Day. We have hired the services of an MC, who also has 25 years experience as a comic, to add some fun and excitement to the event and prizegiving ceremony.
