Technical Evening

Fourth Quarter 2019 SAFPA

A recent SAFPA technical evening had a different format when the chairman of SAFPA’s Pressure Vessels Sub-Committee, Chris Arbour held a briefing session to get stakeholders involved. The goal is to assemble a focused group to consult with the fluid power industry, look at the legislation and the engineering principles surrounding pressure related equipment and create a document or handbook which will serve as a guide for importers, suppliers and end-users.

From l: Chris Arbour, chairman of SAFPA Pressure Vessels Sub-Committee; Dustin Pereira, SAFPA president.

This will be revised as legislation changes or as circumstances require, and will illustrate good hydraulic principles and the minimum requirements for designing and installing such equipment.
