Sun Hydraulics recently went live with its web-based cartridge/manifold assembly software.
The Assembly Product Page Tool electronically generates a complete cartridge/manifold assembly product page using the selected cartridge and manifold components. Only valid combinations of cartridges and manifolds are displayed.
The printable product page has a similar look to product pages for individual Sun Hydraulics’ cartridge and manifold product pages with the addition of:
* Two-dimensional orientation views of the cartridge/manifold assembly.
* A downloadable 3D solid model STEP file of the assembly for incorporation into users’ own solid modelling programs.
* Pricing and technical data for the cartridge/manifold assembly including function symbols, component list and material of construction.
* Convenient links to both the cartridge and manifold product pages.
The design tool can be accessed in several ways:
* Enter a full model code into Sun’s search box and click on the link that says 'View Valve Assembly'.
* Navigate to the desired cartridge or manifold product page and click on the ‘Start a cartridge/manifold assembly with this product’ link located in the upper left-hand corner of the product page.
For assemblies that have been previously electronically generated and approved by Sun’s engineering group, the product page is immediately available on the website. For assemblies that have not been previously generated, or an engineering change has been made, users will be prompted to enter their e-mail address and will be notified via e-mail with a link. This typically happens within one business day.
