Good Day, I trust all the readers are safe and healthy during these troubled times. Hopefully, there is a light appearing at the end of what seems to be the long dark tunnel that is Covid-19 – and the response to it thereof. But at least we are entering level 2 restrictions that should see some form of normality coming back into our lives and businesses, yet I am sure the road to full recovery will still be long and tedious.
Due to the Covid restrictions in place regarding gatherings, we have not been in a position to arrange an AGM. We are planning on hosting and sending out the necessary documentation and date confirmations as soon as the restrictions are lifted.
As a result of these restrictions SAFPA has had to jump into the technological age and embrace it going forwards, therefore to assist us with this process the council has brought on a new managing agency: VDW & Co. They will be setting up various platforms whereby communication, events and access to information willl be made very simple and open up the accessibility of SAFPA and the various services available to all fluid power companies across South Africa and thereafter SADAC.

As part of rolling out a new digital footprint for SAFPA, we would like to introduce the online hose safety training course, whereby potential attendees can start booking dates within the next few months to attend virtual training seminars.
The technical talk evenings will resume again, also on a digital platform to allow a larger audience nationwide to attend. The virtual platform will allow SAFPA to arrange international speakers with ease. Watch out for the upcoming dates for the various technical talks on our social media platforms.
