The SAFPA AGM held on Thursday 5 May 2011 was preceded by an interesting presentation on the Pneudrive Challenge by Adrian Buddingh, engineering manager, Festo. He was accompanied by Renee Rose, general manager Communications, SEW-Eurodrive.
Lorraine Victor (Alfagomma), Dave Michelle (Genflex) and Bill Turner (Joy Mining Machinery) stood down from the committee. Their places were taken by Fritz Kern (Axiom Hydraulics), Bruce Garner (Genflex) and Paul Tift (Hydrastatic Sales and Service).

The current council members are now: Norman Hall: president (Hyflo), Walter Zimmerman: vice president (Hydraulic Training & Consultants), Willem Gijzelaar (Hytec), Manny Viera (Ernest Lowe), Russell Gill (Engineering & Hydraulic Services), Craig Sim (Turnkey Hydraulics), Fritz Kern (Axiom Hydraulics), Bruce Garner (Genflex) and Paul Tift (Hydrastatic Sales and Service). Co-opted members are Graeme Lovesay (Hydraulic Tools) for Cape Town, Dave Michelle (Genflex) for Port Elizabeth and Tiaan du Preez (Singlehurst Hydraulics) for Durban.
